The Brisbane Broncos have locked in some of the state’s best young female talent on their Development List for the 2024 NRLW season.

Shaylee Joseph made an impressive debut for the Queensland U19s last year – the prop tackling at 100% efficiency to help secure the 20-14 win over New South Wales.

Her form for Easts in the BMD Premiership was equally as impressive this season.

Fullback Montaya Hudson, 18, also had a strong 2024 BMD Premierhip season for the Norths Devils, delivering 6 tries, 7 try assists and 20 tackle breaks throughout her 10 appearances.

The electric young back’s efforts helped take the Devils through to the Grand Final, and she will continue to develop her game as part of the Broncos squad this year.

Shalom Sauaso has already built an impressive career resume despite being just 17 years of age.

Sauaso was one of the youngest players to make their Super W debut in rugby union as a 16-year-old when she showcased her all-round abilities at the Reds.

She has already represented Australian Schoolgirls rugby union and Queensland City U17 girls rugby league.

One of the youngest Broncos signings, Reegan Hicks is still in high school – the 17-year-old Queensland and Australian Schoolgirls representative played for Norths Devils in the 2024 BMD competition, making 71 tackles at 90% efficiency in just 5 games.

The young edge player will prove to be a valuable asset to the Broncos as they continue to hone her skills.
