Recruiting updates on Wooga Poplar, Chaz Lanier and Jaxson Robinson
The Kentucky Wildcats scored another transfer pledge Thursday, landing Fairleigh Dickinson forward Ansley Almonor.
While Almonor will be a nice bench piece of Mark Pope’s first roster, there’s still one more big fish Kentucky hopes to land in the coming weeks. The primary targets are BYU guard Jaxson Robinson, North Florida guard Chaz Lanier, and Miami Hurricanes guard Wooga Poplar. All three are testing the NBA Draft waters, so we could be a few weeks away from decisions being made closer to the May 29th NCAA withdrawal deadline.
In the meantime, we’ve got updates on all three transfers.
First off, Poplar is taking a visit with Villanova and plans to visit Oregon, per Jon Rothstein. Villanova has been seen as one of, if not the favorite for the Philadelphia native.
