Sunday Headlines: AJ Dybantsa Edition Kentucky has re-offered the top high school prospect to…

With Mark Pope now at the helm of the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball program, the new coaching staff is reaching back out to some of the top prospects in the country.

That includes the top prospect in all of high school basketball, AJ Dybantsa.

Dybantsa is the consensus #1 recruit. The 6’9 forward is being recruited by every school in the country, and Mark Pope has been making it clear the player, who is viewed as a generational talent, would be a great fit at Kentucky.

“He’s talking to me about what is going to be happening, keeping it the same Kentucky as a top team,” Dybantsa told Kentucky Sports Radio. “And he was saying that he thinks I’m a good fit.”

Dybantsa also told KSR that he is looking at taking a visit to Kentucky this fall.

The 6-foot-9 forward is dominating the Nike U17 circuit, averaging nearly 24 points, almost 6 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.

This goes without saying, but if Kentucky were to land Dybantsa, it would be a massive win for Kentucky. Guys like Dybantsa don’t come around very often, and he is one of those guys who has the ability to be an immediate difference-maker at the college level.

Washington made two free throws before an intentional miss with 2.5 seconds left as the Mavs rallied from 17 points down in the second half for a 117-116 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder to finish the second-round serie.
