Unbelievable; Tennessee have decided to let go of a great Coach Josh Heupel due to his actions towards…

Tennessee Vols head football coach Josh Heupel was in Omaha on Monday night to cheer on the Base-Vols in the final game of the College World Series.

After Tennessee’s win against the Texas A&M Aggies, which gave the program its first College World Series championship, Heupel spoke to Full Disclosure Productions on the field as players and coaches celebrated.

Heupel was quick to point out how impressed he’s been by what Tony Vitello has accomplished at Tennessee since taking over as the program’s head coach in 2017.

It’s really impressive, not just what he (Vitello) did here in this tournament, but what he’s done with this program from when he got here seven years ago,” said Heupel. “Great brand of baseball. Great representation of what Tennessee athletics is about. So excited to see these guys win a championship.”

Heupel and Vitello have a lot in common as coaches. They’re both extremely close with their fathers. And that’s a big reason why both of them got into coaching. They’re also both extremely competitive. As a result, neither has much time for the politicking that’s often associated with being an SEC head coach. Instead, both Heupel and Vitello are focused on winning championships and creating an elite culture.

Vitello has his championship. Now it’s time for Heupel to get his (as a coach)
