Tennessee baseball is drawing all the big names to Omaha to watch it play for a national championship Monday.

Vols football legend Peyton Manning will be back in the stands at Charles Schwab Field to see the No. 1 seed Vols (59-13) play No. 3 seed Texas A&M (53-14) in Game 3 of the College World Series national championship series. UT football coach Josh Heupel, men’s basketball coach Rick Barnes and country music singer Morgan Wallen will also all be in attendance.

Wallen is attending the second straight game after being spotted at Game 2 on Sunday. The Sneedville, Tennessee, native is friends with Vitello and graduated from Gibbs High School, where he was a pitcher and shortstop in high school.

 

The Vols are playing for the program’s first national championship. They didn’t drop a game in the CWS until Saturday when they lost 9-5 to Texas A&M in the first game of the championship series. Tennessee came from behind Sunday to win 4-1 and force Game 3.Manning has made the trip to Omaha for all three CWS appearances under Vols coach Tony Vitello, and he already attended Tennessee’s first game this year against Florida State. UT is 2-1 in the College World Series with Manning in attendance. This is the first year the Vols have won in front of Manning in Omaha, launching a thrilling comeback to beat the Seminoles 12-11.
