Mark Pope’s Kentucky Cancel No. 1 recruit AJ Dybantsa: Report saying..

AJ Dybantsa is the top recruit in high school basketball. The 6-foot-9 small forward is one of the best players at his position in the country and is a generational talent. He has the body of a forward, but he moves like a guard, making plays happen whenever he can.

Naturally, a talent like this will have many suitors. One of them is Mark Pope’s Kentucky Wildcats, who reportedly re-offered to sign Dybantsa last week. The No.1 ranked prospect was in Indianapolis during the weekend to participate in the EYBL Session III, and he opened up about the offer during an interview with Kentucky Sports Radio.

Pope made his intentions of signing the best players for the program when he was hired as the head coach of the Wildcats.AJ Dybantsa is a highly sought-after athlete, and other programs have lined up with their offers, most notably Duke, Arkansas and USC. The 17-year-old is expecting more offers after the conclusion of the ongoing EYBL Session III.
